The RICS Home Survey - Level 2 (formerly known as a HomeBuyer Report) is a mid-level survey suitable for conventional homes, flats, or bungalows. It involves a visual, non-invasive inspection of the accessible parts of the property to assess its condition. The report uses a clear 'traffic light' rating system (Red, Amber, Green) to highlight defects, focusing on significant issues all the way down to smaller defects, any urgent problems that require attention and advice on repairs and ongoing maintenance.

LEVEL 3
The RICS Home Survey - Level 3 (formerly known as a Building Survey or Full Structural Survey) is the most comprehensive and detailed inspection offered. It is designed for much older, larger, significantly altered, or uniquely constructed properties. The report provides an in-depth analysis of the property's structure and fabric, including: A thorough inspection of accessible areas, which may include lifting some floorboards (where safe and agreed). Detailed technical information on construction, materials, and potential and visible defects. The probable cause of defects.
